Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: This is a fresh strawberry cake with a a white chocolate, cream cheese buttercream. (A Wilton recipe). The cake is covered in fondant. The bottom tier is quilted with a round cutter and white dragees. The upper tier is covered in lavender gumpaste flowers that have been lightly dusted with purple dust and a white pearl luster dust. The water is pleated and draped fondant. The cross is made from gumpaste and embellished with pieces from different molds I happen to have on hand by both Wilton and Marvelous Molds. I love the Earlene Moore molds that Marvelous Molds produces because they are so versatile. Anyway, looking back, a lot of this cake originally started with what I learned on this Craftsy Class and then added pieces I learned from other classes.
What are you most proud of? I love how the design incorporates what I learned in several classes. I also love how smooth the fondant came out.
