Materials

Super easy neck warmer made with worsted weight yarn.

What was your inspiration?

My two boys love to snowboard and asked me to create a neck warmer that they could pull up over their nose that wouldn't slip down. The top of the warmer has a tunnel that you can thread a cord through and attach a cord pull. The cord can be adjusted to keep the warmer snug around your nose or down around your neck. The front of the warmer is shaped to keep the cold air out without adding extra bulk to the back of your neck.

What are you most proud of?

I incorporated three techniques into this pattern that beginner knitters can learn and expand their skills.
Provisional cast on, shaping with short rows and knitting in the round. The pattern includes detailed instructions and photos to help you along. Pattern purchases also include support from me!! Just send me an email with your questions and I'll be happy to answer them!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

If you are tired of knitting flat scarves and want to try knitting in the round this is a fun project! It looks great in a bright color or make it in a camo color combination for someone you know serving in the armed forces!

Thanks for commenting! You could pull it up over your ears and keep it secure with the handy drawstring :)

Love the nose detail, and it looks like you could even pull it up over your ears!
