What was your inspiration?
The first one is for me because I can't bear to part with it. I'm so glad I got the zipper in perfect. I'm making more as gifts. The small one is going to get an itunes card as an added gift! Who wouldn't want to get that?
What are you most proud of?
I haven't put in a zipper in ages. I did the larger bag first and it came out great!
Also, i got good practice quilting. I really like creating my own designs.
Found out that my gift of the smaller, green bag is going to be used as a wallet. So I made a bigger one for makeup. See my bagster 2 design.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I'm always afraid my sewn gifts are 'homemade' and not perfect. But friends seem so touched that I made something especially for them. I really analyze what their style is when I choose the fabric and colors. The inside is just as pretty as outside.
