What materials did you use? This little quilt was made with the leftover cotton fabric and polyester wadding after completion of the Caterpillar Quillow. The design of the Makower cotton fabric is "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" based on the book by Eric Carle. It is quilted with red, white and green variegated cotton thread..

What are you most proud of? This is my second quilt made from the pattern found on the Moda "Bake Shop" website. It is quite small, with ties on either side, made to anchor the quilt to either a child's car seat or a pushchair.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Although this was the second quilt made from the same pattern, I managed to get myself in a real muddle when assembling the blocks on the quilt top. Do read the instructions carefully - even though I did, I still had difficulty, but perhaps that's just me!

Thank you, Darns! I have a little of the fabric left and am going to make a little changing mat with it for the baby boy, whose name is Harry.

Thank you! It was a nice surprise for the little boy's Mummy, as she didn't know I was making it!

Hi Pat - Small world .....I have a grandson "Harry"...... Just wanted to ask if you happened to see my "Hungry Caterpillar" quilt on my projects page? I posted it some time ago, perhaps before you were on board. Not sure. And I am loving all those purple projects on your page. And you look like a super happy person in your picture! Oh, pooh......let's face it, I love all your work

I've just been over to your project page and have seen your lovely caterpillar quilt - it just shows how very different projects made from the same or similar fabrics can look! Thank you for your kind comments I can't think how I ever found time to go to work - I avoided retirement for as long as I could, but wish I'd done it earlier now!

This is becoming one of my favorite projects! Sure hope there will be a little one in my future to make one for :D

I'm sure there will be! The layout is a bit of a headache (or am I just thick?) but well worth all the blood, sweat and tears!
