What was your inspiration?
My very good friend was expecting her first baby girl and they moved to South of France. I saw this in a knitting magazine and fell in love with it, also I wanted to try my new skills at making yarn over stitches.
What are you most proud of?
I think the end result is great, had some drawbacks but managed to come over these and when the happy new mum received the little garment she was very pleased.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Use good quality yarn for baby clothes and definitely check the tension. I heard that knitting a size too big for a baby or child is a good idea so they can enjoy the garment a bit longer.
