The baby blocks and rattles can be made days beofre you will need them by addinf Tylo powder to the fondant.
Baby block Instruction
Always make sure you use Tylo powder as it helps the fondant to hold its shape while the block is drying.
colour fondant and tylose powder , then knead until smooth.
The amount of fondant you will need will depend on the number of blocks you need.
Roll into a smooth tube with without seams, use 4cm square cutter.
Mark the top of the rolled fondant with the 4cm square cutter.
cut down 2 sides and the other 2 sides
The bottom of the these cubes will be actually become the front facing of the name block as it will be the smothest side with the sharpest edges
Tip to one side and cut the top off so it is square
Using 2 cake smoothers and two hands to tap the sides of the blocks square
Flatten the top as well and leave for 15mins
After 15mins, use the cake smoother to tap into a cube/block again as sometimes the fonant spreads a little. Finally sit them with their front faces looking at you and tap the blocks . They can be used straightaway with care or overnight
