Instructions

From the book "Quilting for Babies"
Where are the flowers, you say? I modified the flower blocks. Made circles with my Go Baby Cutter. Since this is going in a stash of quilts I am making for my granddaughters, Wanted it to be a more generic piece. Want to make each of them a baby quilt to have after I am gone, for when they begin their own families.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Infant/Baby

Style: Cute

Materials

100 % cotton for top and backing 80/20 batting

What are you most proud of?

finished in about three days, piecing the nine patch blocks took the most time

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Easy project, but would not have attempted circles without the acuquilt fabric cutter.

I love this! And what a great legacy! My great-grandmother embroidered tea towels for me when I was just a baby, to have when I had a home of my own. She had died by that time, and they are very cherished items.

What a wonderful idea-and one I too will do for my kids-thank you. I have so much fabric and they only want a few quilts so now I have a plan!

I really like this quilt-very modern and not too babyish.
