What are you most proud of? I got the newest issue of Love of Quilting and wanted to try the new method for making LeMoyne stars. My co worker's daughter had a baby so I wanted to make a quilt for the baby. After I made the strip sets I had 5 star blocks, so I set them with alternate blocks with some large print fabric and more large print for the border. Quilting with stitch 1/4" from seams on stars, sprirals in large print blocks and stippling about 1" apart on the border. Backing is flannel with rubber duckies. The new mom loves it!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? just fly at it and make it! That's what I do....I started this on Friday evening & ad it all quilted, bound and washed to deliver it Monday morning to my co worker, the proud grandpa.

Very sweet! Did you take any closeups of the quilting? If so I would love to see!

the quilting is spirals around on the large flower print blocks, stitch in ditch on star blocks and stippling spaces about 1" on the border. Can't take another picture as I no longer have it, the baby does!
