What materials did you use? Scraps - I had lots of fun with this quilt. I took inspiration from the "Life's a hoot" pattern but greatly simplified the owls. From Ann Peterson's "Quilting big projects on a small machine" I learned how to use a walking foot and how to attach parts of the quilt so that I didn't have the whole quilt top moving around my little table the whole time. I added in a few hand-quilted leaves and tried out that technique from Andi Pereyda's Hand Quilting class. Then from this class, I learned that easy trick to miter the borders. I used the second technique for joining the ends. I wanted to use the third one but realized that I had not left a large enough open space. Thank you, Mimi, for your delightful and helpful class. I'm sure I'll be coming back to the videos to pick up more pointers. Oh, and I'll add the label in that blank white space, once the baby arrives.
