cotton quilt fabric on front with soft knit fabric called minky for the backing and some squares.
What was your inspiration?
my best friend was having her first baby. I have quilted a little but this was my first blanket. I relied on some books for how to construct a quilt but in the end I didn't use a pattern.
What are you most proud of?
The final product was great. This is a functional piece so I was happy with how durable the blanket is. I was most proud to see my friend really use the blanket out and about.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Measure many times, you can only cut once!
