What are you most proud of? This was my first attempt at free motion quilting and I found it quite difficult. But I did it and so I would have to say I am proud that I stuck with it as the first time I sat down to try it I was sure my machine was broken. It does take practice.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Well I think that this is a little large for a baby quilt so I would maybe do 9 blocks instead of 12. Of course this size it could go with the child until they are five or six. I do not have all the quilting tools so if you had a rotary cutter and a mat I think life would be easier. I used a roofer's square to even up my blocks.

I'm going to give this quilt a try... I have never done applique quilting before. I downloaded the pattern... purchased my material in vibrant colours... I have a white paw print for the background... now we know it's going to be a boy... my niece is having a baby shower in july... wish me luck!!!!! your quilt is beautiful...

A roofer's square, I am laughing so hard. I do things like that too when I don't have all the fancy tools. You are very clever to have thought of it. Your quilt came out so pretty. Thanks for not making me feel like the only oddball, and I mean that in the best way.
