What advice would you give someone starting this project?
No advice really, All the lettering is hand stitched. For a beginner its a good start. All letters have their own square of fabric, and are stitched together after each letter row has been hand stitched. Once the outer edge was put on the batting and backing were put on with special bonding glue (spray) no pinning!! the letters have been machine quilted to give the effect they are lifted off the fabric. The outside edge is simply 3in squares folded in half diagonally then each one is interlocked with the next one. Quite time consuming but effective. Other than that give it a go.
