What was your inspiration?

I actually won this magazine in a contest and when I opened it up I knew that I had to make it. This is my favorite pattern of the year and I can't wait to make it again. Every time I made one of the 3D pinwheels it was so cute I couldn't wait to make the next one.

What are you most proud of?

It turned out great and everyone who looks at it has to touch it.

These aren't the best pictures, it was actually brighter than is shown but I sold it before I had the time to retake photo's.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This was actually pretty easy. I used a couple of charm packs to completer the quilt adjusting as I went along to fit the charm size

I love the three-dimensional effect of the pinwheels and hope you will post a picture of your next one, when you've made it. I'm waiting ...

I love this quilt! I actually made one of these out of that magazine. You were much more brave though, because I made my center (focal) area smaller and didn't have to make as many pinwheels :) Great job!

I just did one with my daughter for her to give as a Christmas present. We made the blocks and the pinwheels much bigger and it came out great. This is my favorite pattern right now. I'm planning another version to start soon!

This quilt is lovely. The 3D effect is amazing. You are right - I would like to be able to reach through the computer screen and touch. Congratulations.

Oh my gosh! This looks so labor intensive but it looks like it was worth it. It's wonderful! Great colors!

It really isn't labor intensive. It is pretty easy and just wows everyone. Let them think you slaved over it!
