My baby's on the median line of growth charts, and at 3 months these pants fitted exactly perfectly, cut from the 3 month size pattern. So I would actually suggest making the pants in the NEXT size up, so you have growing room. Right now, they're adorable, but as soon as she has a growth spurt they'll be too small.Difficulty:

What was your inspiration?
Being a cloth-nappy-wearing baby, my wriggler has been wearing too-big-in-the-legs pants since was was born, and I wanted something that was narrower at the ankle, I will probably alter this pattern to narrow it further, because these are still pretty wide, and I'm trying to keep her pale little legs out of the sun when we go out.
What are you most proud of?
Getting the pants finished in one nap.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Rae's patterns have really good instructions. If you know your baby will be wearing cloth, get this pattern and make a bunch of pants before she's born - I haven't tried other fabrics yet, but I'd be willing to bet these will work in lightweight denim, polar fleece, you name it.
