What was your inspiration?
My inspiration was the Hara baby pattern . The gauge turned out all wrong and I ripped it out down to the bodice. I like the linen stitch so much that I decided to use the bodice for the bottom of the jumper and then decrease gradually up to the bodice to the size I wanted. I put in 2 buttonholes on each strap. The vest I used a pattern called 'baby girl vest'. It is really cute and hope to see on the baby that was just born yesterday. I think my size is about for a 3 mos old. I just love working with all the different colours. Keeps up my interest.
What are you most proud of?
It turned out so cute that I am making some matching mary jane booties for the new baby girl.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just experiment. I seem to often rip my work so dont be put off if you made a mistake. This pattern is easy to 'fudge'.
