Baby Girl Shoulder Burp Cloths

Instructions

cut fabric into 10.5 by 16 inch squares, sew right sides together leave about a 3-4 inch gap to pull the fabric through. Iron and straighten out all edges and corners. Then stitch again around the edge just inside about a 1/4 inch -1/2 inch. You are done.

Making a gift for a friends baby shower next month. Wanted to do hand crafts instead of buying items.

Not following a pattern. Just being creative and coming up with something.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Have fun with some fabric, I used flannel, but you can use anything really.

I make these too, but I use flannel & terry cloth &piping. But I think I am going to try your suggestion. Thanks

did you put any batting in between the squares? How did you stitch it togetherr,other than the sides,to hold it down together?

There is no batting in between, I guess that would be an easy addition if you wanted to do that and make it more of a quilted look. I just stitched again after ironing at about 1/4 again. They are only ment to be burp cloths, but you could easily do some decorative stitching in the middle to help bind it together more.
