I haven't ever made this pattern with the appliques on the envelope, although they are cute! I've found that understitching the hem band gives a much nicer finish.Difficulty:

What advice would you give someone starting this project?
These are both really great, easy patterns that would be appropriate for a beginner and I think that together they make a fantastic baby gift.
