Instructions

I had no trouble using this pattern, following the directions just as they were written. {In fact, I LOVED that fact that I got to use a stitch on my sewing machine that I had never used before.}

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Toy

For: Children

Style: Whimsical, Cute, Retro / Vintage, Traditional, Mod, Funky

Materials

Cotton, Polyfil stuffing

What was your inspiration?

I had tried another pattern by Retromama and loved the results. This one looked like it would be a fun baby gift to make. Since I needed a BUNCH of baby presents, I got started right away.

What are you most proud of?

My sewing machine has a stitch on it that I'd never tried...turns out it's called a Triple Stitch. This pattern advised using it, and I'm so glad I did!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Let your fabrics show themselves off. Polka dots and circles look really great, I think. This pattern is as much fun as a 3-ring circus!
