Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Crochet: Beyond Rectangles »

Difficulty:

Category: Crocheting

Type of item: Clothing

For: Infant/Baby

Style: Retro / Vintage

Materials

Cleckheaton natural cotton 8 ply 4mm hook

What was your inspiration?

The pattern is the baby cardigan by Linda Permann and is part of the excellent course materials.

What are you most proud of?

Getting gauge!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

If you are a beginner like me use a light coloured, smooth yarn so you can see your stitches.

Very cute sweater that I wish I had had the pattern to when my 19 year old was a baby!

I took this class on Craftsy and made several of these sweaters. They came out great and I learned quite a bit even though I have been crocheting for years.

I am making one almost like this one,but it has a ruffled effect all around the edge of the sweater. Making it in pink for my 8th great grandchild.

This was an enjoyable and satisfying Easter project using everything from stash. I am a beginner in crochet so learnt a lot but I also found Linda's tips on finishing the garment useful for my knitting as well. Thank you Linda.
