What was your inspiration?
The Mosaic block and the fat quarters I had purchased.
What are you most proud of?
How the whole quilt turned out. I started with the mosaic block in the middle and just added fabric until it was big enough to be a baby quilt.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
One thing I always do is wait till I'm almost or completely done with the quilt top before finding the right backing. This is always a challenge because I will usually buy my fabric in fat quarters at one shop and then once done have to search for the perfect backing at another shop. I take my sister along since she is better at matching colors than I am.
