What was your inspiration?
A classic baby bonnet. I had seen a pattern for one and loved how it framed the baby's face. I changed it up a little and made the border a moss seed instead of ribbing for added texture. I also really liked the how soft the Malabrigo yarn is so I put it next to the face.
What are you most proud of?
I loved the color combo. It's not traditionally "baby colors" but I thought it made it a bit more modern. They also looked great with my niece's golden skin and bright blue eyes.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
It's a great hat that stays on the baby's head really well without getting in their eyes.
