What was your inspiration?
A friend of mine asked me to make a blessing dress for the baby she is expecting. I wanted something special for her and fancier than the dresses I had been making, so I came up with this pattern.
What are you most proud of?
I am excited that I was able to create something that I think turned out beautiful.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I designed this dress myself, and have the pattern written down, but not typed up yet. It is time consuming at first, because there are so many steps to get the top of the dress right, but once you get to the waist, it's a piece of cake.
I understand the pattern since I made it, but I'm not sure anyone else would understand it yet. I will be typing the pattern up and using many pictures to help, but it will take some time to get this done.
