What was your inspiration?
Got asked at my son's school to crochet a baby blanket and before i knew it was crocheting quite afew for other people, I've also crocheted shawls for friends, hats and scarfs and i'm currently learning to crochet plarn tote shopping bag (made from plastic bags and wool together) I'll post a picture of it when it is done.
What are you most proud of?
I've always wanted to learn how to crochet for many years and always wanted to make a shawl for myself but i could never find anyone who could crochet and teach me so i self taught via youtube with a wonderful lady called Teresa (tjw1963)
I still cannot read a pattern proberly you coud say that i am a visual learner, i especially cannot read one from the uk since i learnt all the crochet stiches in usa, i find i get confused when i try to change it to uk,
I taught my friend to crochet which i am reaaly impressed with myself since it took me months to learn myself.
It is wonderful to see friends and family wearing my hats and scarfs, shawls, wrapping their baby's up in my blankets.
I even made a slouch bag out of cotton string for my sister in law who just loves wearing it.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If i can do it anyone can..
