What materials did you use? King Cole Sprinkles

What are you most proud of? I actually started this twice - the first time I got the length I needed all wrong and only realised when I'd knitted about a third as much as I wanted again! As it's very hard to pick up the stitches again, I ended up pulling it all out and starting over. The first time around, I'd been worried that I was knitting slightly tighter than the little tension indicator suggested, so I cast it on as 25 stitches. Which I realised was coming up a bit wider than necessary, and also meant that the back of the hat would have had "badger stripes" - I then knitted it as 22 stitches wide, to get this much softer horizontal-to-diagonal banding (and match the manufacturer's tension recommendations exactly), I'm also pleased with my side seams the banding joins up nicely, and while I can feel my seams, they're largely invisible.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? The hardest part is tying off the ears symmetrically. I ended up folding this in half so I could match the angles on both sides.
