What materials did you use? Fat eighths or fat quarters and fabric scraps

What are you most proud of? I was actually able to piece this without getting all mixed up, lol. All of my seams matched!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? For this pattern, you need a strong contrast between the darks and lights to get the 3-D effect. Small prints and tonal fabrics work better than large prints so you see clean lines. Lay out your pieces on a design wall or floor. I always take a picture of my projects before sewing the blocks together to see how the layout works. Then if I get mixed up, I can refer to my picture.

this looks complicated, did you make your pattern up?

It wasn't complicated, but I did have to work on only one block at a time in order not to get the pieces mixed up. The pattern came from "Slash Your Stash Quilts" by Claudia E. Plett.
