Carrots,Peas & Pasta

Instructions

I printed & cut out the letters, transferred them using a water erasable pen & cut them out by hand. I made the carrots, peas, & bow tie pasta. I simply whip stitched the pieces together and lightly stuffed. For the can I added an old knob to the lid and painted it and half of the can pink. My amazing daughter did the cute label with paint pens.

What was your inspiration?

My grand daughters 3rd birthday was coming and I was looking for something I could make for her. I had seen a similar project on Craft Gossip but I don't know who did it. When I looked for Felt Food I was surprised to find so much info. on Craftsy, Flicker, Etsy, ect,... Oh there are hundreds of photos of amazing felt creations. Such talented felt crafters out there! So I made Ava's Alphabet Soup with Letters, Bow Tie Pasta, Carrots, Peas & Lots Of Love. Oh yes...She wants MORE peas and some celery!

What are you most proud of?

I'm proud that my sewing skills and my imagination allows me to create anything I'm able to dream up...

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Oh just have FUN! I've learned how important it is to take a lot of pictures to document your projects. Since I give most everything I make as gifts, and once it's gone...it's gone. Get Pics!
