What was your inspiration?
a friend of mine pointed out to me that there is a dress on sale at Ruche.com that is exactly like this one for $80 but mine only cost $10!!!
pictures of me wearing it to come after next weekend.
What are you most proud of?
i wish i could say that the second time around was much easier but it wasn't. the dress ended up being too big again. need to cut a size two next time instead of a four. so i took everything in but the back darts. ended up taking too much in on the skirt; which then made it too small. ugh! but before i started stabbing myself with sewing pins while banging my head against the wall, i realized that i could just cut a few inches off the top of the skirt. so i did. got a little carried away with how much to cut, which made the dang thing too big! seriously?
after i gave myself a time out, i thought to myself of how to fix it & realized that all i had to do is gather the skirt. yay! the vow of "forever giving up sewing" disaster avoided. good thing! the only thing i changed is that i used an invisible side zipper that goes all the way up to the underarm instead of the regular zipper the pattern calls for.
can't wait to start #3.
