A UFO Completed! :-)

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

The original pattern was bigger. I like to make 'lap' size quilts (50x70) - and I call them 'Lifetime quilts' as they are good for ALL ages.

I have been 'making quilts' since 1989; I use to do ALL my quilts by hand but now I usually quilt with either my walking foot or with my embroidery machine. Have tried to freehand quilt on machine, but I am NOT talented enough (like I 'forget' to make turns :-)

I am very new to quilting and also find free-motion VERY challenging. But making a quilt entirely by hand sounds equally (if not more) daunting to me! I am so impressed by those who have that skill.

Beautiful Autumn is my favorite time of year and u have inspired me to get my UFO done also. I love the swirley look of all the different leaves. Great job.
