What was your inspiration?
I love the trompe l'oiel looks on the runway lately and decided to create my own with this pattern. The fabrics were serendipity - the skirt fabric was from a mystery bundle but happened to match the calico perfectly. Obviously, it was meant to be!
What are you most proud of?
The fit is really great - I made two muslins to get it that way. I also love the matching belt made from the skirt fabric. Such a fun vintage inspired touch.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This pattern isn't hard, but it is a bit time consuming. Worth it, I think,
