What was your inspiration?
The fence rail pattern seemed like a good one to start with. I had already bought the fabric (without a plan as to how to put it all together) and just went for it! Jenni's course gave me all the information and tips I needed to get started and the confidence to cut and piece my quilt together. It was TOTALLY worth signing up for this course!
What are you most proud of?
My completed quilt! I briefly thought about paying for someone to machine quilt the top, backing and batting together for me but in the end I decided to have a go myself - and it was wonderful! I am sitting on my lounge typing this with my hand-made, one-of-a-kind quilt on my lap, keeping me toasty warm!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Don't think about it, do it! Jenni is a gem to watch and listen to - and she's very easy to follow.
If you want to make a quick start, get a charm pack of squares - enough to make the quilt size that you want. Jenni's instructions will make sure you will easily finish your first quilt.
