What are you most proud of? That I actually finished it ... I started this quilt in March 2011

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Plan out your quilt before starting to piece fabric together. Consider the engineering aspect, not just the design as lots of bias pieces make the quilt strechy and hard to keep flat when quilting.

Thanks Jennifer ... it took a little over 400 hours to complete over 18 months - mainly because had no plan for the quilt.

Wow... what an ambitious project... but good for you to jump into the original design... we learn by jumping in and figuring out the different technical challenges that come along... lovely fall colors!

The leaves look more like stars but they look fantastic. I love the colours and they really express autumn. Great job and I bet lots of work.
