What was your inspiration?
The inspiration for this bookmark was my children. While we were collecting leaves under an Autumn tree one of my sons showed me a leaf and said "This one is perfect mum". I traced around that very leaf and made a bookmark from it. This way it can be kept forever in a book......
What are you most proud of?
That my children inspired me to create this pattern and that the idea came from a beautiful gift from nature.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
When you choose the felt colour for your leaf try to choose a tone that is true to the colours of Autumn. A contrasting embroidery thread colour would look nice too!
I love to use natural materials....eco-friendly natural wool felt, 100% natural wool and wooden beads were used to make the bookmark shown.
