Difficulty:

Category: Cake Decorating

Type of item: Food

For: Children

Style: Holiday, Cute

Materials

Spice Cake, Cinnamon Cream Frosting, Fondant

What was your inspiration?

Thanksgiving gathering with friends.

What are you most proud of?

I am most proud of the pie slices, I had never sculpted with fondant before this project. They looked a little naked, so I piped a bit of frosting on each slice to represent whipped cream.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This is a quick and easy way to dress up a simple cupcake.

Caramels cut in half and shaped might work for the pie slices, too! What do you think??

Interesting thought, the flavor would match well. I wonder if the carmel would smooth enough to look like pie?

Those little pumpkin pie slices are so cute! Did you make an entire little pie then cut them into slices, or make individual slices?

I made the pie "filling", cut it into slices and then shaped them a bit. I added the crust last.
