I found this pattern in my Easy as 123 crochet book.I used a different color than the color in the book and sized it according to my head. This is a great pattern for a bigger head.

Materials
Lion brand multicolor yarn 1 skin. I did not use chunk like it calls for in the pattern, but I used the gauge and a larger hook size.
What was your inspiration?
I was looking for a hat pattern that would fit my head, that is a little bigger than the size I find commonly in stores. I also wanted to find some colors that matched my brown winter coat. I found the multicolor brown yarn and the gauge was close to the Lion chunk used in the pattern.
What are you most proud of?
I like how the colors look like I used different colors on each level of the hat. I am happy that it doesn't LOOK like the hat in the book, because it looks kind of hideous on the model in the book. It goes to show that the pictures in the book aren't always what you will end up with.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Have fun and it's a quick make.
