What materials did you use? Pattern is one by Leah Day and available from her website My Showcase fabrics were bought while on holiday in Australia last summer, fabrics from stash for background and shadows. This quilt is a reminder of a very special holiday

What are you most proud of? This is a WIP at the moment. If I can actually get the FMQ completed I shall be thrilled!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Leah's teaching style is so good that you lose your fear and can achieve anything. Find a teacher you love and try new things - you will be amazed at what you can achieve

being an Aussie I love your use of the Aussie fabrics. Michelle

Thank you Michelle, I had such a great time and made some fantastic new quilty friends down-under. Only luggage restriction (and Hubby) stopped me from buying more!

Love the pattern.

Love the pattern. I've been looking for it. Thanks for posting. This is going to be my next project. I am a novice, so do you think it will be okay for me to do?

The piecing is quite easy, all the instructions for the free motion quilting designs are in the pattern too. You might want to check out Leah Day's Craftsy classes for skill building in free motion quilting or join one of the quilt alongs on her blog/website/FaceBook page. Good luck - I would love to see your finished photos
