What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I think my Ohio Star block is kind of wimpy - might have to do some dec stitches or rethink the fabrics.

Two more beauties! I LOVE the fussy Ohio center - wonderful fabric - it makes the block. Pretty, pretty, quilt in the making!

Thanks, Jean - the Ohio center fabric was the inspiration for the rest of the color choices - that fabric will be the sashing & border (if I have enough!)

Looks beautiful to me - agree about warm tones - I thinks sometimes we are our own worst critics. Wish we had warm weather here at the moment - blowing a gale with the westerly winds and cold.

Step away from Ohio star Darns! I love the autumn colours... lovely and warm which is not how I'm feeling right now ;-) Hey don't forget that when it's joined with the rest of it's family and quilted it will come out of it's shell... so mitts off!

OK, OK, I'll leave it alone. Warm & humid is what it is here today. Thunderstorm went through a little while ago & upped the muggy feeling. How cold do your winters get?

Oh you got the message LOL, that was easy. Cold enough for us to get snow and ice but today we are lost in a freezing cold fog. Sassy was so funny when I held her up to look out the window this morning, you could tell she couldn't believe what she was seeing... nothing lol.

Makes sense to me! Wallace heard the thunder, whined & immediately wanted back in the house. He totally freaks out over fireworks.

Very, VERY nice! and the colors are so very 'pleasing' together; so peaceful, and they just draw you in! and I love your fabric texture also!

Thank you, Sandie! These fabrics had been sitting around my place for years waiting for inspiration until this BOM came along. Fortunately my friend who will get this quilt loves the colors also. I have been showing her the blocks each time I see her - she's starting to get a little impatient at this point!
