What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Pay extra close attention to the scant 1/4" seams, especially on the Double Star - they really need to be less than 1/4". My Double Star block came out 1/8-1/4" shy of 12 1/2" square even though I was vigilant!! Somehow I hope that little bit off will disappear with sashing and quilting....we'll see!
Also BEFORE CUTTING check for alternative methods to make the flying geese units,

After cutting it's too late to change methods. I used Amy's method and saved the scraps for another project.
