What are you most proud of? Well, I am delighted with this sashing color choice. It's a batik, very bold but it gives your eye a place to rest from all the busyness that is going on in the blocks...now I am trying to decide if I want to do little stones in the sashing...little stones of different Kaffe scraps.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Enjoy yourself, this was a fun BOM. If you are just learning how to quilt, you will really enjoy this course! If you are an advanced quilter, you can have fun stretching the boundaries.

Looks like it's unanimous...the blue is a good choice! I'm waiting to see if Amy has anything up her sleeve for November/December before I start planning my next step. ;-)

Oh, I see, just the usual for sashing. Thanks! Now I'll start some planning.

I used Kaffe Fassett fabrics as well for this BOM, but your choices are WAY better than mine! I ended up getting frustrated with the paper-piecing blocks, so didn't do those. And then took out 2 more blocks that never really appealed to me, color-wise, and now have a square quilt about 60", once I add the borders. I struggled with the border fabric, but think I like my choice. I'll have to post a picture at some point.

This is a spectacular block! Do you know the name of the KF fabric that you used for the background and center of your Dresden? I would love to get my hands on a piece of this!
