Atyria Swatch/Cup Cozy

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Adventures in Double-Knitting »

Instructions

Worked 2 repeats of the pattern chart in the round through row 25...maintaining the full pattern width by continuing to do the Double Increases at the end of each repeat as done in earlier rows

Difficulty:

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Functional

For: Home

Style: Whimsical, Funky

Materials

Dream in Color Perfectly Posh & Frog Tree Peiboo

What was your inspiration?

I made this so I could practice the pattern for the full hat and I TOTALLY recommend doing this . The chart made MUCH more sense when knitting the hat after having knit through the project once in miniature.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I wouldn't suggest swatching flat since you have to use the chart totally differently working in the flat. Also, use the chart for the larger hat for the swatch so it comes out more cup-sized.

Beautiful work! I am stealing your idea for doing a swatch--if I ever get that far!

nice job! I wish I would have thought to do this first before the whole hat. I'm still slogging along in the mock ribbing. cant wait to get to the real part!

wonderful. You are farther along than I am. I'm still waiting for the yarn for the Duvina cowl. I ordered it from WEBSand they got it wrong

I've bought the class and I've been doing the flat swatch. I thought I wouldn't have a problem with the chart for such a simple pattern but jimminy! I keep getting the rows mixed up and tearing out rows and rows over again. Sigh...It will get better but for now, I'm struggling. I just watched the Atyira hat classes and boy it's scary.
