What was your inspiration?
Our church has a booth at the town festival this weekend, and I've been crocheting dishcloths to sell to raise money for the county food bank. I decided to try making an American flag. Then I realized... please don't wash your dishes with the American flag! Consider it, instead, as a hot pad for your apple pie =)
What are you most proud of?
This is the first pattern I've ever made up all by myself - as well as the first pattern I've ever attempted to write out.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Pay attention to the part where you bring the yarn to the front of the project when switching colors mid-row (the blue to red or white). If you don't do that, your yarn will be on the wrong side when you turn the piece.
