Instructions
I found the instructions for creating a stone set in a silver clay pendant in a really good book about metal clay. Well worth a read for beginners. I just followed the basic frame work for the pendant, then altered the detailing for my own piece. The is The Art of Metal Clay by Sherri Haab. The chapter that these instructions can be found in is called Making Bezels for Delicate Stones.Category: Jewelry
Type of item: Accessory
For: Women
Style: Romantic, Formal / Bridal, Victorian / Steampunk
Materials
This necklace features a beautifully multi hue teal and green quartz druzy that has a lovely sparkle to its crystallized surface. Its set in a hand sculpted setting of silver clay. After firing, it was then given a patina in tones of blue, green and purple to give it a more antique look, then gently hand polished. The pendant is accompanied by brilliant teal colored Russian Amazonite, complimenting the teal in the druzy wonderfully. Nestled nicely between the amazonite are a pair of Thai silver beads. The "s" clasp is also from Thailand.
