What advice would you give someone starting this project? When I die and want this quilt to be my burial shroud because this quilt almost killed me. I have only been quilting since August. I think it was the opening of the seams and pressing. All I see is all the mistakes. It is not a very forgiving quilt. Not sure if I should broad it or not. I am just glad that the top is finished.

I'm astonished that you're new to quilting and yet without a lot of experience you managed to piece so many blocks in a short amount of time. I'd like to chat further with you when I return from a teaching trip to Cincinnati; I'm traveling in a few hours. Did you have an opportunity to review the eBook in the class materials?

I think your quilt top is really fun and I can't see any mistakes. You should definitely quilt it...and leave it to someone when you die. It's too pretty to go in the ground.

And let's hope you have time to do many more quilts before then!

LOL! Haven't begun mine yet, and I too am also a beginner. I love your colors and obviously you used more fabrics than just two. What do you think it would look like just using two fabrics? In other words, all my blocks would be the same...??

My biggest mistakes where turning the dark/light block oposite. When I sew the blocks together I was careful to make sure they matched. I also have one block (Botton, Right, 2nd Block) that i sewed the the hald squares to the same color fabric.

This quilt is beautiful. I love the subtle colors & the way you combined them....just gorgeous :)
