Instructions

This is the design for my most recent project. It's inspired by the Globe Theater in London. I'm trying to figure out if anyone would have any ideas for how to quilt it. Right now all I'm thinking of is using a large free form feather design over the red sections. If anyone would have any suggestions let me know.

I love this! The clean, graphical lines are phenomenal. I'm no expert, but I wonder if straight line quilting would fit this better than feathers. 2 suggestiions I heard that might help. 1,. Audition designs by drawing them on Press and Seal (Glad, I think). Stick it on the quilt and see how you like it. 2. Print out a copy of your photo and doodle on the copy. Much smaller scale, but might give you a feel for the look you want. I hooe this helps.

I work in a library. Most of the branches have laminators, if not most schools do. Whenever the staff laminates anything there is always a lot of waste laminatpor material whichis a see-through sheet. It's a great way to draw something out and audition it on your quilt. And a great way to recycle. I'm sure they'd love to give you some to use if you ask. Doesn't help with the actual design but it is a good why to try different ideas before you stitch.
