Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: Modeling chocolate, marshmallow fondant, rice crispy treat instead of cake. White chocolate ganache to cover rice crispy's. I rolled my chocolate through a hand cranked fettuccine pasta machine. For the lettering I used gumpaste and cornstarch dusting for some tappits I ordered online through www.shopbakersnook.com. I had ordered the fmm alphabet and number set upper case 1.5cm and the coordinating lower case tappit.

What are you most proud of? Making my own marshmallow fondant!!! Yay! I have tried other recipes in the past and have always failed.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Use waxed paper for sure! I used parchment and it would have been a lot easier to use waxed paper. The parchment wasn't transparent enough. Also, be sure to let the fondant rest overnight before using. I think my mistakes in the past was trying to use it immediately. Also, use the thickest roll on the pasta machine when rolling out the modeling chocolate. And it's easier to roll out when it's not too warm from your hands. Otherwise it just brakes apart.
