Caron's Simply Soft yarn in white for the rose and white row, the other yarn is a soft nubby yarn in turquoise, pink, yellow and lime variation, I don't know the brand or name though, I bought it on sale. The link is for the rose pattern.
What was your inspiration?
I made it for my friend's son and daughter-in-law when they had their first child, a daughter named Arden.
What are you most proud of?
I made up the pattern and embellishments myself, using Stash yarn.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
The granny square is one of the basic crochet stitches, it is a must to learn as you can make almost anything from them.
