What was your inspiration?
I did not personally design or make this quilt. I purchased it in Egypt from the Maadi House across from the Metro Food store, The man who made this quilt and his wife run a fabulous little store. His father designed this and passed the pattern to his son. The men do the quilting in Egypt. It is totally appliqued by hand. I became friends with the family and enjoy seeing them on return visits.
