How big are these squares and how wide is the white tracking. I would like to make this.

I cut 10 inch squares and made the white sashing strips 2 1/2 inches wide. The outer borders of blue that are inset into the white border are 1 1/2 inch strips. Have fun. Post a pic of it when you finish.

The simplicity of this quilt makes it especially beautiful because of the fabrics you selected and your quilting is wonderful! Are you a long armer.....or did you do this on your home maching? Really lovely.

I did this on my domestic machine. I want to be a long armer when I grow up (Laughing now, cause I am a grandmother).

Thank you so much. The fabrics were some that I had in my stash and some I had picked up at Hobby Lobby as part of a blender bundle. I didn't use a pattern, just started sewing.

Did you purchase a pack of layer cakes or individual fat quarters? Do you know the fabric line or where to purchase? Any advice is greatly appreciated.....very gorgeous!

I sued fat quarters and just pulled a few out that went with a blender bundle I had purchased. I have lots of greens and blues in my stash as I find myself always gravitating towards those colors when I am fabric shopping. This woud lend itself well to a layer cake though. The squares I cut were roughly the same size.

No, layer cake but used blender bundle and fabric from stash. I think I started with 10 1/2 inch squares and bordered with 2 1/2 inch strips so you sure could use a layer cake.

What a great quilt you have made. The colors you used and the way you put them together and quilted them prove you do not have to have a complex piecing design to achieve beauty.

This quilt is beautiful! Great choice of fabrics, the colours work really well together-exciting prints yet the overall feeling of the quilt to me is harmony and tranquility-very nice!!...can you tell me what size of squares you used for the prints? thanks,
