What was your inspiration?

Found out that paper-pieced hexagons are way easier than I had ever thought - thanks to Amy for getting me to try a new technique! I chose to create a block completely out of hexagons as I enjoyed doing them so much and enjoyed the hand-piecing.

GREAT job on the hexi blocks! I was thinking that hexi quilt would be beautiful. You proved it!

Wow - how long did it take to sew all those hexagons. I personally hate hand stitching but the end result is lovely. Your finished quilt is going to be stunning

Hiya! Thanks for your commnets. I enjoyed the 'nothing-to-do-in-a-hurry' status of Easter Friday, cutting out and basting the hexagons, got the stripe block done, then spend Saturday evening watching TV and hand sewing for about three hours.
