What materials did you use? Cotton quilting fabric - black and white

What are you most proud of? The way it turned out - it is pretty "arty" for me - I rarely use curves, so was glad it turned out as well as it did.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Since my other advise was to "Skip April" I think this advise would be do whatever you have been wanting to try!

I really like this. So different and so unique.

Where did you get your paper pieced pattern?? I like this block very much! (I too have been dragging my feet.. I am way behind and still need to finish March!!) Yikes!

I drew it up myself - but did need to get a Wright's EZ flex design rule, just drew it on freezer paper and it worked great! So guess it is an "Original"

The flying geese block is totally cool Did you use a pattern?

I drew up a pattern on freezer paper before I started, was not as hard as I originally thought.

I love what you did with the flying geese. I have also admired the free form flying geese and they are on my list of things to figure out when school is out. (I teach special education first graders.) Do you have any tips that you'd like to share? I'm also making a black and white BOM quilt and I enjoy seeing your blocks. Both of your April blocks are extraordinary. Thanks for sharing!

I would recommend Gail Garber's Flying Colors book - it is great and explains everything!
