Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Craftsy Block of the Month 2012 »

Instructions

I used freezer paper for the paper piecing which made it much easier.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Home

Style: Traditional

Materials

Cotton and cotton/blend fabric

What was your inspiration?

Some of the other talented people taking the course. Thank you for sharing your pictures and sparking some new ideas.

What are you most proud of?

That I finished them!!!! I did not care for the paper piecing and all the hand sewing required but I hung in there and I think it came out ok.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Use freezer paper for the paper piecing, pressing the shiny side down on the wrong side of the fabric. When you have the hexagons, experiment and play around with the layout before you stitch them together. Have fun!
